Recently two friends of mine who were at one time super close, stopped talking. These two were not only friends but neighbors who would spend Sundays watching movies, eating together, helping each other when drunk, walking pets for each other, covering for each other, and helping each other in every way. These two close friends now have strain in their relationship and are currently not speaking because of something that has potential to be the big evil in all our lives. That thing is.... FACEBOOK. That's right it's Facebook. Good ole FB. It seems one of the two friends has bothered the other by incessantly commenting on their posts. The comments are long and drawn out and end up hogging or hijacking the entire comments section. It seems friend A who does the commenting doesn't realize that they are taking over Friend B's page with their comments making the original status seem insignificant compared to the comment. With the ease of Facebook and twitter I find that I apply most of my thought and humor into 140 words or less. By doing this I have all but forgotten the joy I would get from actually creating Paragraphs of what was considered by me and at least some of you as entertainment. I have found that the thought of sitting down and writing a blog seems more taxing than it used to be. Is it the aforementioned Twitter and Facebook that is causing this? Then I start to think... Does it have anything to do with the downturn in the amount of folks who take the time to read the paper? Everyone seems to think that the ease for finding news on the internet has made people not get the newspaper but maybe it is the inability to understand any form of complex or pseudo complex thought or God forbid, sentence structure. Of course I say that as someone who rarely displays complex thought or proper sentence structure. I wonder if the Twitter and Facebook's are helping to create adults with an even small...

Ray...What is it you really want in life?.... I hear that all the time. Everyone seems to think I am not enjoying my time of just being a husband and father. After waking up at 430 int he morning for 20 years and napping all afternoon and doing remote appearances every weekend I needed this break that I've been on. I know it wont be long before I have to get back into that grind of doing a high profile drive time radio show. But still everyone asks WHAT DO YOU WANT IN LIFE? Now when people have asked me that question I believe they were looking for something more introspective or perhaps they were trying to bring me out my career speed bump and get me back to thinking about going back to work full time or whatever. My thoughts on Current Rock Radio Mornings from My twitter Ramble this morning.... I'm up early listening to mobile feeds of the employed morning radio jocks on rock radio, so now I know why radio is in the shitter. Radio is the only business where intentionally there are some truly talented individuals that are not allowed to work at entertaining listeners because they dont play the asskiss game. Meanwhile asskissers have risen to the top all at the cost of truly entertaining radio. When it comes to Rock radio, Listeners are leaving in droves because there is no one talented enough to make them want to put down the ipod and listen every morning and that lack of the dedicated fan who listens for more than an hour at a time is hurting radio. But Thank God there are morning guys that attend station functions, play golf with the boss, agree with sales people and still find time to help ruin the industry. We are in Corpus Christi Tx for the week. After a couple of meetings get out of the way, I'm gonna have a chance to do some beach walking, and vacationing. My wifes parents just bought a brand new house and it is fantastic. I have been hooking up TVs and washer/Dryers, and moving furniture. Lotsa fun. I really miss Corpus and my wife grew up here so needless to say .. Moving back to Corpus would be a really nice option. Be back soon and we will be updating Facebook and Twitter all week. There they are! The reason I have trouble sleeping sometimes. The reason I am often annoyed when things seem to be going well. The reason I am slowly being driven crazy... My dogs Tongues! That's right.. their tongues. They wont stop. It's unending! They are constantly licking their faces, their paws, their legs, their noses, and eachothers ears, eachother's rear ends (which is totally disgusting). They also lick the floor, the dog beds, the sheets on our bed, the couch, the carpet, their dog dishes, our plates, even the very computer keyboard I am using right now. They just wont stop licking. Try sleeping with the slurp slurp slurp, lop lop lop, They just keep going. Their tongues are like the Energizer bunny (as dated as that now seems). They get in the bed and the licking begins. I have noticed the licking happening even while they seem to be asleep. Licking in your sleep- this just seems so wrong but yet my dogs find a way to do it. Of course the licking is somehow for ...
